Imperial Pivot B
The second build of the Imperial Pivot family: the same removable top mattress over a 28 cm hand-built core, with one jute felt layer removed for a slightly more yielding feel. Twenty-one named layers in total, from coffee-check cotton ticking through 4 kg of black horsehair to nested mini bread-loaf springs and a full calico pocket unit.

Name story
Chéxǐ (宸玺) is the imperial seal — unquestioned authority. Yúnshū (云枢) is the pivot of heaven and earth. Together they name this bed as the quiet centre of the room.
Signature work
Two rows of side-stitching
Two rows of 10 cm hand side-stitching lock the side walls to the springs — the mark of a true hand-built mattress.
